✂️ Terms and Conditions for Dog Grooming Services
Welcome, and thank you for choosing us for your dog’s grooming needs. These Terms and Conditions govern all grooming services we provide and help set clear expectations for appointments, pet
requirements, and service standards. Our priority is safe, high-quality care for every pet in our salon.
📅 Appointment Scheduling & Cancellation Policy
Appointments are scheduled in advance and are reserved specifically for your pet. To help us stay on time and provide the best care to every client, we ask that you arrive promptly and notify us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your appointment.
First reschedule is FREE when requested at least 24 hours in advance.
Any additional reschedules after the first free one require a $50 rescheduling fee to confirm the new appointment.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to fees.
💉 Vaccination Requirements
For the health and safety of all pets and staff, proof of current vaccinations is mandatory for all dogs receiving grooming services. We may request documentation at any time, and services may be delayed or declined if records are not available or cannot be verified.
Rabies (current and valid).
DHPP/Distemper.
Bordetella (Kennel Cough).
Important: Vaccination records must be provided before your first appointment and updated annually. We reserve the right to refuse service if proof of vaccination cannot be verified.
🐕 Pet Behavior & Owner Responsibilities
Owners are responsible for providing accurate information about their pet’s temperament, behavior, and health history. Disclosing concerns in advance helps us plan appropriate handling and ensures a safer experience for your pet, our staff, and other clients.
Owners must inform staff of any aggressive behavior, anxiety, or health conditions.
Dogs showing aggressive behavior may require muzzling or additional handling fees.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if safety is compromised.
Owners are responsible for ensuring their pet is in suitable condition for grooming (not excessively matted beyond safe grooming).
Additional fees may apply for severely matted coats requiring extra time and care.
💳 Payment Terms
Payment deposit is due at the time of booking appointment and the remainder is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Final pricing may vary based on your dog’s size, coat condition, behavior, and the services requested or required to complete grooming safely and humanely.
Accepted payment methods: cash, credit/debit cards, digital payments.
Prices are subject to change based on dog size, coat condition, and services requested.
Additional services or treatments discovered during grooming will be discussed and approved before proceeding.
Gratuities are appreciated but not required.
⚖️ Liability Limitations
While we take every reasonable precaution and use professional grooming practices, grooming involves some inherent risks (including stress, minor nicks, or irritation). By using our services, you acknowledge these risks and agree to the terms below.
We are not liable for pre-existing health conditions that become apparent during grooming.
Elderly dogs and those with health issues may be at higher risk during grooming; owners assume this risk.
We are not responsible for issues arising from matted coats, skin conditions, or parasites present before grooming.
Accidents or injuries will be addressed immediately with veterinary care if needed, with owner notification.
Owners are responsible for veterinary costs resulting from pre-existing conditions.
Your pet's safety is our top priority. We use professional techniques and equipment, and our staff is trained to handle dogs with care and compassion.
🤝 Dispute Resolution
We are committed to customer satisfaction and encourage open communication if you have concerns about your service. Most issues can be resolved quickly when addressed promptly and respectfully.
Concerns should be raised immediately upon pickup or within 24 hours.
We will work with you to resolve any issues through direct communication.
If a resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
Any disputes will be governed by the laws of [Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado].

🐾 Return Policy for Dog Treats & Food
We’re committed to your satisfaction and to the quality and safety of every dog treat and food product we sell. If something isn’t right with your order, we’ll work with you to make it right as quickly as possible. Please review the details below to ensure a smooth return experience.
Eligible Returns
Damaged products (arrived crushed, leaking, or otherwise compromised).
Wrong items shipped (you received a different product than what you ordered).
Defective products (manufacturing or sealing issues).
Unopened items within the return window (must be sealed and in original condition).
Return Window
Returns are accepted within 48 hours of the delivery date for online purchases and 48 hours from the time you received your product in person. For quality and safety reasons, dog treats and food products must be unopened and sealed to be eligible for return, except in cases of damage or defect upon arrival.
How to Initiate a Return
Step 1: Download and complete the Return Request from our website or request one be sent by email.
Step 2: Take a clear photograph of the product, including any visible damage to the item and packaging (if applicable).
Step 3: Send an email to happypawsgroomingandmore@gmail.com with the subject line “Return Request - [Order Number]”.
Step 4: Attach the completed form and the photograph to your email so we can review your request quickly.
Step 5: Wait for our confirmation email with return authorization and next steps (typically within 24–48 hours).
What Happens Next
We review your request to confirm eligibility and determine the best resolution.
We provide return instructions, including a return mailer and shipping label when applicable.
Refund or replacement options will be offered based on product availability and the nature of the issue.
Processing timeframe: once the return is received (or the issue is confirmed for damaged/defective items), refunds or replacements are typically processed within 5–10 business days.
Important Notes
No returns on opened food items due to health and safety requirements (unless the product arrived damaged or defective).
Original packaging required: please keep items in their original packaging, including any inserts, labels, and seals.
Refund method: approved refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible.
